It' s here

Going on southeasterly, there is another one picturesque village with exceptional stone houses, Varos. Make a stop there for admiring anything is preserved from the traditional architecture of Lemnos.

The deserted faraway windmills are now used only for cart-postal. It is credible that the land of Lemnos was formerly excavated here. The plain of Livadochori lies in front of the village, where the airport of the island is situated and built under NATO specifications.

This rich plain ends to the gulf of Kotsinas, where you may find marvelous fish taverns and a leeward beach. Samothrace emerges on the distant horizon like a shadow.
