Diapori

If after Kontias you turn right, before ECO petrol station, you will meet an earth-road. You will pass from fields, where there are tasteful detached houses, and you will arrive at a natural, leeward and safe for great ships, port of Diapori.

Its waters get deeper just 2-3m away from the beach. The tavern “Diapori café-grill house” is open all year and serves fish and other snacks. The mole concentrates many amateur anglers.

A marsh of fresh water is created in Diapori, which is dry during summer. This marsh constitutes an important hydro-biotope for hibernation, migration and reproduction of various rare birds, such as Flamingo, Ruddy Shelduck, Glossy Ibis, but also Herons, Ducks, Terrapins and Frogs. The big sign in front of the port informs you and the map guides you.

All along the route you see the bay of Moudros lying in front of you, while you may have a distant view of the city.
